Rodrigo Matos

One of our two Head Riding Masters, he has been with Morgado Lusitano for quite some time now.

Rodrigo started his carreer at Morgado Lusitano under the watchful eye of Nuno Palma e Santos. With 18 years of age he entered the Portuguese Riding School, where he rapidly became Primary Rider, under the wing of Master Dr. Filipe Figueiredo (Graciosa).

A qualified instructor in Traditional Portuguese Riding, Rodrigo Matos treins both horse and rider from beginner level up to Grand Prix.

Paulo Sérgio Perdigão

Our other Head Riding Master has learned the ropes with two absolute Masters.

A proeminent rider from the Portuguese Riding School, Paulo made his name under the guidance of Master Luís Valença.

A specialist in long reins, he is a well known rider, instructor and performer throughout the equestrian world.

At Morgado Lusitano, Paulo Sergio Perdigao is also responsible for the concept, training and putting on our trademark XVIIIth Century Equestrian Show.
