Rodrigo Matos and Charlotte Wittbom are instructors and trainers at Morgado Lusitano. With their talent, patience, expertise and passion for classical dressage you will have a great learning experience.

Rodrigo Matos is our head Riding Master and leads a team of experienced riders, training both horses and riders, from beginner level and all the way up to Grand Prix level.

Rodrigo started his career at Morgado Lusitano, working for Mr. Nuno Palma. When he was 18 years old, he entered The Portuguese Riding School of which he is now a Principal Rider. At the school, he was trained by Maestro Dr. Filipe Figueiredo (Graciosa).

The Portuguese Riding School is one of the four classical riding schools in the world.

Charlotte Wittbom was born in Sweden and has been riding and competing in dressage, jumping and eventing since child.

Charlotte has participated in three Swedish Championships, in eventing, where she also got good results. Charlotte traveled to London and worked at Susannes Riding School, doing her teaching ABRS, trained for Julian Marzcak and has been a student of Master Luis Valença for three years, during which time, she participated as one of the riders of the world’s biggest horse show, Apassionata.
